Able Search program allows you to use many search engines. Just click button for quick access to different search categories.

When you type a text in the upper right corner of Able Search toolbar and press Enter (Return), you get a general information search. You can also click a button on the search panel, to find for example movies, music, files, pictures, etc.

You can also add your own search providers - search engines that you use often. They will appear when you click . To use them, type a question in the upper right corner of Able Search toolbar and select your search provider.

Search engines installed in Internet Explorer (also compatible with OpenSearch) are on Your custom search providers list. To add your own provider - enter a name and an address of the search page and click .

If you found an useful search engine (e.g. www.abc.com) and you want to use it, then search with it for a word e.g. TEST. In the address bar you will see an address e.g.

http://www.abc.com/search.php?query=TEST

Just change the searched word to {KW} in the address and you have your own search provider:

http://www.abc.com/search.php?query={KW}

where (KW) means the place to put a search query.

Sometimes a search engine uses the HTTP POST method. Then in the address bar we cannot see the searched word (e.g. TEST) - we only get

http://www.xyz.com/search.php

Fortunately, Able Search program allows you to view queries sent to an engine. To do this, click Page Tools -> Files in Page or click or  icon in Internet Explorer status bar. This brings up a dialog showing all the elements contained in the web page. In the HTTP POST data field you can view something like:

query=TEST

Now simply join the search address and the query, and separate them by a {POST} marker:

http://www.xyz.com/search.php{POST}query={KW}

Able Search shows only search providers, which are checked on the list. You can change the order of the search engines with buttons.

Easier search with typing in address bar. You can make it easier to search for information on the Internet - just type a query in the address field and press Enter or click a button on the search panel.

You can also set Able Search as default search provider.
