Automatically start new downloads - When this option is enabled, new file downloads start automatically. Otherwise, you will need to click
Start button.Save files to - enter default folder where downloaded files will be saved. If you disable this option, Able Search Manager will remember the last selected folder where you saved a new download.
Connections
Timeout - if you cannot connect to a server in this time, download manager tries again after the time specified in Retry after option. Some slow servers, especially very far away from you, may require a greater timeout (e.g. 90 seconds). Number of connection attempts to a server sets Retry count option.
Passive FTP Mode - in some cases FTP servers require so called passive mode. We recommend to enable this option.
Anonymous downloads using TOR network - select this option if you want AbleSearch Manager to download files via encrypted TOR network connections. Thanks to it you will keep anonymity and no one will know what you download from the Internet. Usually downloads are a bit slower. You should also set one thread for each file (the file is not downloaded in many parts at once) and a bigger timeout.
Able Search Manager can download files using proxy servers. They are computers on the Internet, through which you can connect to other servers. Usually you do not need to enable Use HTTP or FTP proxy option.
Internet provider may require to use a proxy server or a firewall - then you should get all necessary data from your provider.

Download proxy list. SOME proxy servers work the same way as the TOR network and guarantee anonymity of the Internet. Others make browsing faster by storing downloaded pages, just like the Internet Explorer cache. Most proxy servers slow down the network usage.In the Server field you should give the address or the IP number of a proxy. Some proxies also require a user name, password and a port number.
If you want to use a FTP proxy server, you must also know its type (Proxy, Socks4a, Socks5). If you are not sure, try to download a file with different settings.
No proxy for - you can specify a list of domains or IP numbers separated by spaces, for which proxies will not be used - connections will be made directly.
