Data CD Options

Here you can select options used to create data CD. AbleBurn uses ISO9660 file system. You should also check JOLIET option to allow long filenames.

Applicationname of application writing the disc (use AbleBurn ;).

Publisher and Preparer – that should be your name.

These three fields are written on a CD but they are not readable in Windows (you should use special software).

Temporary ISO image filedefault name and location used to create an ISO image file.

Allow directories deeper than 8 levels...ISO9660 standard specifies that directories can be nested up to 8 levels including root directory (in fact you may use 7 levels). MOST (but not all) CD drives read folders without any problems up to 11 levels.

Use JOLIET extensionsthis add-on to ISO9660 standard allows storing long filenames. Without it all names will be converted to old DOS 8.3 style (8 letters for the name and 3 letters for extension).

Use ISO 31 character filenames...ISO standard allows long filenames (you can omit JOLIET) but these CDs will be unreadable under DOS.

Character sethere you should select appropriate character set with your national characters. The easiest way is to click Detect button. If your code page is not listed you should download and use a file containing mapping of local characters. See http://www.unicode.org/Public/MAPPINGS/ for details.

Pad the end of the ISO9660 by 16 sectors (32kB)recommended for compatibility issues.

Use MKISOFS.EXE additional command line optionsif you wish to add more default options – specify them here.
