CDDB Options

CDDB server

Here you can specify Internet server used to get CDDB disc info. You should split address (e.g. http://freedb.freedb.org:80/~cddb/cddb.cgi) to three parts:

Serveronly server address without any path (e.g. freedb.freedb.org).

Pathpath on the server (e.g. /~cddb/cddb.cgi).

Portport used by this server (usually 80).

The best free CDDB server is www.freedb.org. Look there for more information and mirrors.

Proxy server

If you are behind a firewall or you wish to use a proxy server for CDDB connections you should specify Server, Port, your User name and Password. You should ask your ISP provider or network administrator for this information. If you use a proxy server it should be entered in Internet Explorer – from its main menu select Tools – Internet Options – Connections and click Settings or LAN settings button.

If you wish to save ripped disc information (album name, track titles, performers) to local file for fast access in the future and for AB-CD player check also Automatically save disc info to CDDB.ini on Audio options tab.
