CDDB information

Each audio CD has its unique identifier that can be used to obtain disc information from Internet. CDDB (Compact Disc Data Base) servers store album title, tracks, performers, year etc. When you copy an audio CD it's much easier to automatically obtain these information than enter each track title and performer manually. If an audio CD contains CD-Text AbleBurn reads it and usually you don't have to make a CDDB query.

The best free CDDB server is www.freedb.org. Look there for more information and mirrors.

To get CDDB information:

1) insert an audio disc,

2) start new task (File – New) and select Copy audio CD,

3) select from main menu Disc – CDDB Disc Info or push button.

and ... you must be connected to Internet. In case of an error try again or check CDDB options (Tools – Options – CDDB) specially if you are behind a firewall.

If you wish to save ripped disc information (album name, track titles, performers) to local file for fast access in the future and in AB-CD player check also Automatically save disc info to CDDB.ini on Audio options tab.
