Audio CD

Audio discs can be played in computer CD drive and of course in normal audio equipment. Usually you can use all media types. CD-RW discs may be unreadable in some audio players.

To create an audio CD select from main menu File – New and choose Audio CD. In main window drop audio files onto the list. They must be 44 100 Hz, 16 bit, stereo WAV files. Other WAV formats are automatically converted by AbleBurn – just drop these files.

If you wish to use MP3 you first must decompress them. Current version of AbleBurn does not allow recording directly from MP3 because of legal issues (your support is welcomed).

Before recording normalization should be applied on waves coming from different sources (albums). Otherwise their volume can be different.

Use arrows or drag and drop to arrange songs. Audio CD can contain maximum 99 tracks. Total time depends on media size. 650 MB = 74 minutes, 700 MB = 80 min.

CD-Text can be used to record tracks' titles or other information. Of course your recorder and CD player must support writing / reading CD-Text. Edit – Properties allows entering description for each track. Selecting File – Properties can set album title and performer. You should also check Tools – Options – Audio – Write CD-Text.

To start recording select from main menu Disc - Record or click button.

You can also create so called CD Plus disc. It contains audio tracks and a data part (with files and directories) that can be read on a computer.
